Frequently asked questions:

Q: What products do you use on my countertops?

A: For granite countertops, I use peroxide solution, avoiding abrasive cleaners that can damage the sealant; I wipe the surface with a soft cloth and dry immediately to prevent water spots. Marble countertops demand similar care but are more susceptible to etching from acidic substances; thus, I always use a pH-neutral cleaner. For quartz countertops, which are non-porous, I use a peroxide solution but avoid harsh chemicals or bleach that could discolor the surface. Laminate countertops are more forgiving, so a non-abrasive all-purpose cleaner will work well, but I am cautious of standing water that can seep into seams and cause warping. Lastly, butcher block countertops require regular oiling along with cleaning using mild soap and water to prevent drying and cracking. By understanding and applying these cleaning methods, I can ensure that your various countertops remain in pristine condition.

Q: How thoroughly do you dust?

A: I begin with the ceilings, as these often accumulate cobwebs and dust, I use a long-handled duster to reach high places. I don’t overlook ceiling fans, which can harbor a surprising amount of dust; I simply wipe the blades with a damp cloth or use a fan duster. As I move down, I pay attention to the walls, which can accumulate dust and grime over time. I finish by dusting furniture and baseboards, ensuring every corner of your home is spotless. This methodical approach not only maintains a cleaner home but also reduces allergens, contributing to a healthier living environment.

Q: How do you care for my floors?

A: A thorough vacuuming is the first step in removing dust and debris, setting the stage for a comprehensive mop job tailored to the floor type. For hardwood, a gentle cleaner that protects and enhances the wood's natural luster is ideal. Laminate floors require a solution that prevents moisture damage, while vinyl benefits from a non-abrasive cleaner to maintain its sheen. Tile floors, on the other hand, often need a grout cleaner to tackle the spaces in between. By customizing the cleaning method to suit each floor's material, you ensure the job is done right, leaving your floors gleaming and well-maintained.

Q: What kind of weedkillers do you use:

A: I try to use natural weedkiller when I can, however there are times when a stronger solution is needed; I will use Ortho products but will not use Roundup products as to stay away from glyphosate.

Q: Do you haul away debris?

A: Yes, I haul away debris in my trailer and haul away costs will be included in the estimate.

Q: Do you have help?

A: When I clean I clean alone and when I garden/landscape I oversee a crew while onsite (I may be in and out, however).

Q: How much do you charge?

A: I offer highly competitive pricing, a free quote is the most efficient way to determine costs.
